Appearance
- Crossed Eyes
- Red rimmed, encrusted or swollen eyelids
- Inflamed or watery eyes

Behavior
- Rubs eyes excessively
- Shuts or covers one eye
- Tilts head or thrusts head forward to see
- Has difficulty with reading or other close-up work
- Holds object close to eyes
- Blinks more than usual when trying to see
- Is irritable when doing close-up work
- Is unable to see distant thigns clearly
- Squints or frowns when trying to see
Complaints
- Eyes itch, burn, or feel scratchy
- Cannot see well
- Dizziness, headache, or nausea after close-up work
- Blurred or double vision
If your child has one or more of these problems, you should have your child's eyes examined by an eye care professional.
